Over the years we have met with hundreds of members from different data teams to discuss their needs and use cases involving Data Observability. To this day, one of the most common ways engineers and analysts tackle bad data is by maintaining manual scripts for data quality checks.

While these are very basic but effective ways to manage simpler tasks, maintaining and developing in-house tools or custom scripts is often a lengthy process. To help data teams tackle more complex data quality issues in a simpler way, we have launched a completely free version of our Data Observability platform.

SelectZero Starter tier provides a robust, free solution for individual users seeking to implement data quality and observability measures without the overhead of developing custom scripts.

What is included in SelectZero Starter Tier?

  1. Data validation and reconciliation
It offers automated data validations and reconciliation out of the box, supporting up to 50 data validations. This increases collaboration and transparency, while eliminating the need to code and maintain custom validations, reducing risk of errors and saving development time.
  2. Email alerting for data issues
Built-in alerting notifies users of data quality issues as soon as they are discovered, allowing users to take action as soon as possible,
  3. Support for multiple data sources
SelectZero’s platform supports more than 20 integrations to widely used databases. With the Starter tier, users can set up two connections.
  4. AI-assistant ready to help
The platform includes an AI assistant to help users create and manage data validations more efficiently. Even suggesting tests to run based on available metadata. Users can set up their custom AI-assistant to use any of our supported models or use their companies on-premise LLM model.
  5. Scalability for future needs
As your requirements grow, users can upgrade to a higher tier any time to write more validations and access features like data profiling, anomaly detection, data catalog, data lineage and business glossary. This includes adding connections to different databases and new users to the platform environment.

If you’re relying on an in-house developed solution to monitor data quality, it might be time to try a simpler approach. Setup takes just a few minutes with Docker, and there’s no commitment required. If you’re curious to see how it compares to your current setup, give it a try and let us know what you think. More information about the functionality is available here and a complete guide on how to get started with the deployment can be found here.
